Welcome to St. Christopher's Faith Formation program. Our Faith Formation Team works very hard to provide comprehensive opportunities to meet the needs of our faith community. We are here to help our children to grow in their journey of faith by deepening their understanding and awareness of God and to teach them the truths of our faith.
Our goal is to offer our children a living example of the faith and spirituality reflective of their baptismal call to become disciples of Jesus Christ. The students are encouraged to develop a personal relationship with God through prayer and worship.
Parents are the primary educators of faith for their children. St. Christopher's staff is here to support and encourage the development not only of your child(ren) but the entire family's growth in the Catholic faith. This can only be accomplished if the family has decided to make a commitment to the faith. We are well aware of the great strains that are placed on our families today. Many times these struggles prevent us from celebrating Mass on the weekends, or even getting our children to their faith formation sessions. As we pray for all of our families we ask that you take the time to pray and discuss this commitment to Christ with your entire family. Work towards making faith formation and Sunday Mass a priority in your family.
Religious Education Guidelines

St. Christopher's provides separate preparation programs for each of the sacraments. In order for your children to participate in the preparation for First Communion, First Penance and Confirmation, they are expected to participate in religious education through Catholic school or in a parish religious education program in addition to the sacrament preparation program.
St. Christopher's is a stewardship parish and our families are committed to sharing their gifts of time, talent and treasure and also making a regular commitment to participation in Sunday Mass.
The readiness of your child to receive the sacrament is determined in a three-fold way; on the part of the individual asking for the sacrament, on the part of the family and on the part of the parish. Readiness of the individual is determined based on their desire and their regular participation in age appropriate faith formation. Readiness of the family is based on their commitment to weekly mass attendance and whatever necessary support for the ongoing faith formation of the individual. The parish family must be ready to support the newest members of the community through prayer and example.
